Country Singer Donates Guitars To CedarBridge
Renowned US country singer Jessica Lynn, who performed at the Bermuda Festival in early 2017, has arranged for two acoustic guitars to be donated to the Cedarbridge Academy music department following her visit to the school to present an outreach programme to students.
“The experience”, said Ms Lynn in an email to Tiffany Fox, head of music at the school, “had been extremely inspiring and I was touched by the passion for music and the way the teachers were encouraging the students to go for their dreams.”
Ms Lynn later spoke to Steve Pisani, owner of a New York music store, and he agreed to ship two brand new guitars as their contribution to the incredible work the school was pursuing.
David Skinner, Executive Director of the Bermuda Festival, said “Jessica was a fantastic addition to the Festival and made a huge impact on the Festival audiences and the students she met during her workshop at CedarBridge Academy.
“We would like to thank her for this initiative and D’Angelico Guitars for their generosity in donating the instruments.”
