Football: First & Premier Division Results

Robin Hood, North Village Rams, Dandy Town Hornets, St. George’s Colts, Southampton Rangers, and Paget Lions all walked away with wins in this weekend’s Premier Division and First Division football action.

Premier: Social Club 1 Robin Hood 2

At the Police Field, Robin Hood defeated Young Men Social Club 2 – 1, Antwan Russell gave Robin Hood the lead in the 7th minute and Shakir Smith would double the lead in the 34th minute. Jarizhino Simmons would pull a goal back for Social Club in the 84th minute but they could not find the equalizer.

Premier: North Village Rams 3 Somerset Trojans 1

At Bernard Park, the North Village Rams defeated the Somerset Trojans 3 – 1. the Somerset Trojans took a 1 – 0 lead when Jaz Rattery-Smith scored, but goals from Pierre Smith, Kieshen Bean and Shayne Hollis earned the North Village Rams the win.

Premier: Devonshire Cougars 1 PHC Zebras 1

After a scoreless first half at the Devonshire Rec. the Devonshire cougars and the PHC Zebras played to a 1 – 1 draw. Jawonday Smith gave the Devonshire Cougars the lead in the 56th minute, but Casey Castle would equalize for the PHC Zebras in the 72nd minute for the draw.

Premier: Dandy Town Hornets 1 X-Road’s 0

This Premier Division match was moved from St. Johns to BAA due to a waterlogged pitch, after a scoreless first half the games only goal came in the 59th minute when Angelo Simmons scored for the Dandy Town Hornets earning them a 1 – 0 win over X-Road’s.

First: Devonshire Colts 1 St. George’s Colts 4

St. George’s won the battle of the Colts after defeating Devonshire Colts 4 -1 at Police Field. The visiting St. George’s Colts got two goals from Jarazhino Basset and two from Donavan Thompson, while Kyle Jones scored the lone goal for the Devonshire Colts.

First: Hamilton Parish 1 Southampton Rangers 12

At the Wellington Oval, Southampton Rangers pulled off their second win in as many weeks at that location this time defeating Hamilton Parish 12 – 1. Khalil Symonds and Donte Brangman both scored hat-tricks, while Isaiah Taylor, Ezekiel Stoneham and Shannon Burchall all added two goals each.

First: Paget Lions 4 St. David’s 0

At the Southampton Oval, the Paget Lions train continues to roll as they defeated St. David’s 4 – 0. after a scoreless first half Tahj Wade scored, the lead was doubled when Davin Dill scored, Dion Stovell would then make it 3 – 0 before Jensen Rodgers would close out the scoring.

First: Wolves 2 Ireland Rangers 2

At the Devonshire Rec. Wolves came from 2 – 0 down to draw with Ireland Rangers 2 – 2. After a scoreless first half Daunte Woods would find the back of the net twice, but Wolves would stage a comeback with Paulino Arthur and Vincent Minors scoring.

First: BAA 1 Somerset Eagles 1

At the BAA Field, BAA drew 1 – 1 with the Somerset Eagles, D’Andre Wainwright gave the Somerset Eagles the lead in the 4th minute, however Josh Hartman would equalize for BAA on the stroke of halftime. Neither team could break the deadlock in the second half as they shared the points.
