Town Hall Meeting In St. George’s On Nov 16

Mayor of St. George Quinell Francis will be hosting a public Town Hall meeting on Thursday, November 16 at 7.00pm at the Penno’s Wharf Terminal Building.

A spokesperson said, “The agenda will include a welcome by the Mayor; infrastructure projects update; a presentation on home security by the Bermuda Police Service; a presentation by MP Renee Ming on the St. George’s commuter ferry; a presentation on the St. Regis hotel development; and open forum; and a closing.

“The St. George’s community is already well aware that there are several infrastructure projects occurring in the Town and we aim to keep our constituents well informed.”

“These are exciting times for the Town and we need for the community to be excited and informed about the future,” the Mayor said.

“The progress of these projects have resulted in unavoidable disruptions and inconveniences that are associated with all major infrastructure improvement projects and communication with the St. George’s residents and businesses is vital.

“The Town Hall meeting will serve to provide an update on Corporation initiatives and in addition representatives from the Bermuda Police Service will be in attendance to provide information regarding home safety.

“The hotel developers will be in attendance to provide an update on the progress of the hotel development project. Also St. George’s MP Renee Ming will be on hand to discuss a St. George’s Commuter ferry.”

The Mayor said, “As always I encourage all businesses and residents of St. George’s to come out and participate in the Town Hall meeting.

“Our Town Hall meetings provide an excellent opportunity for our constituents to hear first-hand about all the exciting things that are in store for the Town.

“The public Town Hall meetings are a continuation of our efforts to keep our constituents informed and is an integral part of our communication strategy.

“We invite everyone in the St. George’s community to attend.”
