Firefighters Extinguish Shed Fire In Sandys
At approximately 10:34am today [Jan 11] the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service received a report of a shed on fire on Olive Lane in Sandys.
The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to the incident with 2 fire appliance staffed with 8 firefighters.
Fire service spokesperson, Sergeant Delton White said, “Upon arrival we found a motorcycle repair shed fully involved with fire coming through the roof of the structure. Two firefighters dressed in full protective clothing and breathing apparatus then used 1 ½” hose line to extinguish the fire.”
There were no injuries as a result of the fire, but the structure received extensive smoke and heat damage. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
