Bermuda Win Swimming Medal In Inaugural Cup
The inaugural UANA [Union Americana de Natacion] Swimming Cup concluded in Florida with Bermuda winning one medal, courtesy of an excellent showing from Logan Watson-Brown.
During the 13-14 Girls 100 LC Meter Freestyle, Logan Watson-Brown finished 3rd touching the wall in a time of 59.79.
During the 13-14 Girls 50 LC Meter Backstroke, Watson-Brown finished 4th with a time of 31.98, Taylor White was 17th touching the wall in a time of 34.63 and Gabriela Pitman finished 21st with a time of 35.08.
Brian Desmond finished 13th competing in the 13-14 Boys 50 LC Meter Backstroke clocking a time of 31.27, while Jack Harvey was 14th with a Personal Best time of 31.41.
The 15-17 Girls 15-17 LC Meter Backstroke saw Ashley Irby finish 27th with a time of 35.44, while Desmond finished 12th in the 13-14 Boys 100 LC Meter Freestyle clocking a Personal Best time of 57.12, also swimming a Personal Best time was Sam Williamson who finished 17th with a time of 57.44 and Harvey finished 32nd with a time of 1:00.39.
Irby was clocked at 1:03.60 on her way to finishing 27th competing in the 15-17 Girls 100 LC Meter Freestyle, while Skyler Powell was 33rd clocking 1:04.00.
Williamson finished 5th competing in the 13-14 Boys 100 LC Meter Breaststroke clocking a time of 1:12.24.
Watson-Brown would touch the wall in a time of 30.42 during the 13-14 Girls 50 LC Meter Butterfly which put her in 6th place, while Pitman finished 16th with a time of 31.88 and in the 21st place was White with a time of 32.54.
The 13-14 Boys 50 LC Meter Butterfly saw Williamson finish 15th with a time of 29.01, Caleb Ingham finished 25th with a Personal Best time of 30.65 and Desmond clocked a Personal Best time of 30.99 to finish 28th.
Powell finished 25th competing in the 15-17 Girls 50 LC Meter Butterfly touching the wall in a time of 32.19, with Irby finishing one spot back with a time of 32.63.
