Hearts, Hats And High Tea Set For February 24

Friends of Hospice is hosting its annual Hearts, Hats and High Tea event on Saturday, February 24 at Windows on the Sound from 2.00pm to 5.00pm, with the deadline to purchase tickets set for today [Feb 21] at 3.00pm.

There will be prizes for the “most marvellous, natural and unique” hats, as well as for the best men’s hat.

The event will also include tea, sandwiches, cookies, petits fours, and live entertainment with Tony Bari and Gita Blakeney-Saltus, along the promise of “a new form of entertainment not to be missed.”

Nicky Gurret, one of the organisers, said, “As the charity arm of Agape House, the island’s only inpatient facility for the terminally ill, all proceeds from the tea will directly benefit the hospice and the patients and their families who they serve.”

AS Coopers has offered a 20 percent discount on regular priced hats for anyone attending the tea and guests can show their ticket to receive the discount. Tickets cost $75.
