Two Arrested On ‘Suspicion Of Importing Drugs’
Upon their arrival back to Bermuda from the U.K on Sunday [Feb 4], a 47-year-old Bermudian female and a 54-year-old Bermudian male were arrested on “suspicion of importing controlled drugs into the island.”
A police spokesperson said, “On Sunday 4th February 2018, detectives arrested a 47-year-old Bermudian female and a 54-year-old Bermudian male on their arrival back to Bermuda from the U.K.
“They were arrested on suspicion of importing controlled drugs into the island.
“A full investigation into this matter is being conducted by the Organised & Economic Crime Department – Drugs Unit, with the assistance of the Department of Customs.
“Both persons remain in custody while enquiries are being progressed.”
