World Book Day To Be Marked On March 1
Nikita Robinson of The Ladies Room on Hott1075 is inviting the public to read at a nursery, preschool or to a primary 1 class to help celebrate World Book Day 2018.
1,467 books will be delivered to preschools and nursery schools throughout the island in celebration of World Book Day. In addition, a few primary, middle and high school libraries, will be receiving books as well.
Saying its her “favorite day of the year where the love of literacy is spread from one end of the island to the other by community volunteers,” Ms Robinson noted that it’s not too late to participate:
“There is just 1 pre-school available for sponsorship or 60 books to be purchased. There are 12 primary school libraries without book donations. To donate, just go to or call Brown & co at 279-5443 to purchase your favorite book or books to deposit in book bin for the school of your choice,” she said.
“Please help me in sending thank-yous to our wonderful community sponsors and volunteers that are reading through out the island on Thursday March 1st:
