Two Teens Remain In Hospital, 3 Vehicle Collision

Two of the six people hurt in Monday night’s car crash remain in hospital, while on a separate note, a three vehicle collision occurred on South Road in Paget near the junction with White Sands Road yesterday [March 15].

A police spokesperson said, “At last check this morning [March 16th] two of the six people hurt in Monday night’s single vehicle car crash – which occurred around 10:20pm on Middle Road in Smith’s parish near the junction with Clarendon Road – continued to recover at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

“The 18 year old woman that was more seriously injured remained in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit while the other injured 18 year old woman that was admitted to a general ward had since been discharged. In addition, the 19 year old man hurt in the March 12th crash continued his recovery in stable condition on a general ward.

Reported Three Vehicle Damage Only Collision in Paget

“Around 1:50pm Thursday, March 15th police officers attended a reported three vehicle damage only collision on South Road in Paget near the junction with White Sands Road.

“It appears that a truck being driven along South Road in the westbound lane collided with another truck being driven in the opposite direction, before striking a car – also being driven in the eastbound lane.

“There were no reported injuries. However all three vehicles were damaged and there were temporary traffic delays in the area immediately following the collision.

“Any witnesses are asked to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
