The police investigation continues into the fatal collision on Marsh Folly Road that resulted in the death of two men, as well as the collision in Smiths that resulted in six people being injured.

A police spokesperson said, “The investigation continues regarding the fatal collision that claimed the lives of motorcyclists 29-year-old Demarcvjai [Marvin] Williams and 34-year-old Marco Salema.

“The officer in charge of the investigation is now Constable Asaph Rawlins of the Roads Policing Unit and any witnesses or persons with knowledge of either victim’s movements two hours prior to 9:30pm Friday, March 16th are encouraged to call 247-1788.

Two Teens Continue to Recover in Hospital After March 12th Car Crash

The police said, “At last check this morning [March 21st] the 18-year-old woman that was seriously injured in a single vehicle car crash which occurred around 10:20pm Monday, March 12th on Middle Road in Smith’s parish near the junction with Clarendon Road remained in stable condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

“In addition, the 19-year-old man hurt in the same crash continued his recovery in stable condition on a general ward. Both were passengers in the vehicle at the time.

“Three other passengers as well as the driver were also injured in the incident, but have already been treated and discharged from King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

“The driver, a 25-year-old man, was initially arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and remains on police bail as inquiries continue.

“Any witnesses or persons with information about this crash that have not already come forward are still encouraged to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
