BFRS Extinguish ‘Controlled Burn’ In Sandys
Earlier this week, the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service were called in to extinguish a controlled burn in Sandys after it became a “nuisance to neighbours”
The BFRS said, “The fire in question was what we call ‘a controlled burn’, meaning that somebody was supervising the burn of what should be horticultural waste. We were called in to extinguish it because it became a nuisance to neighbours.”

Why would the fire service have to be called in to put out a controlled burning? Am I missing something.
