Personnel Commended After Aircraft Incident
[Updated] Minister of National Security Wayne Caines, extended his “thanks and appreciation”, to those who oversaw yesterday’s [April 30] emergency response to the Cessna aircraft incident.
Minister Caines said, “As Chair of the Emergency Measures Organisation [EMO], I can advise that the EMO was kept fully abreast of all the developments regarding the Cessna aircraft mishap.
.
“Our emergency personnel enacted the requisite safety protocols during throughout the incident, which is a true testament to their preparedness and specialized training,” the Minister added.
“Each member of our emergency service must be commended for their professionalism and bravery, and we’re all extremely thankful there were no severe injuries or loss of life.”
The cause of the aircraft incident is currently under investigation.
Update 6.57pm: Former Premier Michael Dunkley said, “On behalf of the Opposition Leader and the One Bermuda Alliance we comment in support of the release by Minister Caines in recognizing and thanking all emergency responders for the prompt response coupled with their professionalism and bravery.
“Today on behalf of my colleagues I reached out directly to those involved to thank them for their good work and to send best wishes to the injured pilot.
“The LF Wade International Airport is a lifeline for Bermuda and it’s continued good operation is critical to our future wellbeing. We should all take great pride in the work done in this regard.”

Will the NTSB be involved in this incident?
it’s a British Airport,not American.
But a US registered aircraft. The FAA will get involved somehow.
Well that is big of you, how about some commendation for the OBA for nearly turning around our economy after you lot f’ed it up?
I truly hope so it is an international airport
NTSB will have to be notified as the aircraft is registered in the US.
Thus my comment ‘Stuff’.
