Video: “Taking Off” Advises To Be On Time
Skyport has released the eleventh episode of ‘Taking Off’, a video series with host Mikaela Pearman that highlights the airport redevelopment project, with this week’s video highlighting the importance of being on time when checking in for a flight.
Speaking in the eleventh episode, Mikaela Pearman said, “The busy season has kicked off for us here at the LF Wade International Airport. All the airlines have switched to their spring schedules with the summer schedules due to start next month.
“So what does that mean for you? We all know it’s important to come to the airport a couple hours ahead of our flight. But, in Bermuda, we tend to be more relaxed and come an hour or so before the flight is due to depart.
“In the busy season, this is a recipe for disaster. Please come to the airport at least two and half hours before your flight to the US.
“This might sound like a long time, but by the time you check in, clear US Customs and Border Protection and go through security, that’s at least an hour gone.
“Also, the airlines begin boarding 45 minutes prior to the flight’s scheduled departure. It’s better to relax upstairs with something to eat or drink rather than coming to the airport late and rushing, or worse, missing your flight.
“Besides, US Law requires all passengers who are travelling to the USA clear CBP a minimum of one hour before the flight.
“If you are travelling to Canada or the UK, arriving two hours before your flight is best.
“Remember, the busy season means more people travelling. Get to the airport early!”
Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah… I guess for all the money they are going to make off us for the next thirty years, they want the public to buy into their bull.
Please come to the airport at least two and half hours before your flight to the US.
LMFAO…yeah suuuure! That’s more than required in foreign!
