Video: ‘Taking Off’ Highlights More Flights
Skyport has released the latest episode of ‘Taking Off’, a video series with host Mikaela Pearman that highlights the airport, with this episode highlighting more flights.
Speaking in the episode, Mikaela Pearman said, “With summer in full swing, travel has picked up around the world and Bermuda is no exception.
“With daily flights to New York, Charlotte, Boston and Atlanta, the travel scene in Bermuda is certainly ramping up.
“This month, capacity has increased to 50 percent of 2019 and next month, we expect flights to be operating at more than 50 percent of what they were in 2019.
“Next month, we will see the return of Air Canada after a seven-month hiatus with two flights per week.
“WestJet is expected to resume operations later this year.
“We are also expecting a significant increase in service from the UK as British Airways is scheduled to operate five weekly flights from London Heathrow in just a few weeks.
“This means more man and woman power at the airport and likely more Bermudian jobs as we start to return to pre-pandemic levels.
