Court: Driver Fined $600, Banned For 18 Months
A drink-driver has been banned from the roads for 18 months.
Alvernaz Garcia was stopped in the early hours of May 5, this year, when officers saw him fail to stop at a junction in Southampton.
He was then arrested after officers noticed that he had glazed eyes and his breath smelt of alcohol.
Garcia was later found to be nearly twice the legal drink-drive limit.
At Magistrates’ Court today the 38-year-old admitted impaired driving.
He was banned from driving for 18 months and fined $600.
