Southampton Rangers, St. David’s Cricket Club, Warwick Workmen’s Club, and Flatt’s Victoria all recorded victories in this weekend’s Premier and First Division cricket action.

Premier Division

Southampton Rangers Win by 76 runs: Southampton Rangers 245/7 St. George’s Cricket Club 169

The Southampton Rangers handed the St. George’s Cricket Club their first 50 over defeat of the season, with a 76 run victory at the Wellington Oval. Batting first the Southampton Rangers would score 245/7 in their allotted 50 overs, Tre Manders was their top scorer with 74, while Malachi Jones scored 55, the pair shared a 113 run 2nd wicket partnership and Janeiro Tucker added 53 not out. Treadwell Gibbons was the pick of the St. George’s Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 10-0-45-2.

In reply the St. George’s Cricket Club were bowled out for 169, Gibbons was the top scorer with 107 not out, Malachi Jones was the pick of the Southampton Rangers bowlers with figures of 10-2-25-6.

St. David’s Cricket Club Win by 83 Runs: St. David’s Cricket Club 234 Western Stars 151

The St. David’s Cricket Club remained undefeated as they picked up a 83 run victory over Western Stars. St. David’s scored 234, with Allan Douglas Jr. the top scorer with 97, he hit 4 fours and 9 sixes in his inning, while Nyon Steede was the pick of the Western Stars bowlers returning figures of 5-1-17-2.

In reply Western Stars were bowled out for 151, Jekon Edness was the top scorer with 50, Kevin Hurdle was the pick of the Western Stars bowlers with figures of 10-0-40-3.

First Division

Warwick Workmen’s Club Win by 3 Wickets: Devonshire Recreation Club 179 Warwick Workmen’s Club 183/7

The Devonshire Recreation Club would bat first at the Southampton Oval, they were bowled out for 179, Freeman Lema was the top scorer with 36, while Kian Butterfield returned figures of 5.1-1-33-3.

In reply Warwick Workmen’s Club would score 183/7, Mckario Burch was the top scorer with 56, while Jodi Maroni was the pick of the Devonshire Recreation bowlers with figures of 10-3-40-3.

Flatt’s Victoria Win by 9 Runs: Flatt’s Victoria 209/6 PHC 200/9

Batting first at the PHC Stadium, Flatt’s Victoria would score 209/6, Reggie Baker was the top scorer with 63, while Jahmari Beach led PHC in the bowling department with figures of 10-1-31-4.

In reply PHC could only manage 200/9, with Randy Bean their top scorer with 78, while Nelson Bascome was the pick of the Flatt’s Victoria bowlers with figures of 10-2-27-4.
