Police Confirm Death Of Ronald Lightbourne
The police have confirmed the death of 71-year-old Ronald Lightbourne and said “no suspicious circumstances were detected.”
A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 71-year-old Ronald Lightbourne and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends.
“Mr. Lightbourne was found in an unresponsive state in the swimming pool of a Forest Hill Drive, Warwick home by his caregiver around 11am Tuesday, June 26th.
“Despite lifesaving efforts at the scene which continued as Mr. Lightbourne was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, he was later pronounced dead.
“Inquiries were conducted, but no suspicious circumstances were detected.
“However, an autopsy is anticipated.”
