Audio: Premier’s Question Period In House
[Updated] Speaker of the House Dennis Lister reminded the public that the Premier’s Question Period will start in the House of Assembly today [July 13].
The Speaker stated, “This morning we will witness another first in the House of Assembly. The Premier’s Question Period will take place every second Friday of each month that the House is in session.
“The Premier’s Question Period will last no more than thirty minutes and Members of Parliament can ask questions of national importance or about the general performance of Government ministries and agencies. The Premier can also be asked routine questions about his engagements.
“In accordance with Standing Orders the Leader of the Opposition may ask three questions. Other Members can each ask one question. Only Members who have asked a question will be allowed to ask two supplemental questions.”
Speaker Dennis Lister concluded, “I am pleased that Bermuda has joined other Parliaments by including an opportunity for Members of Parliament to ask questions of the country leader. Including the Premier’s Question Period in the Bermuda parliamentary process, provides greater transparency and insight into the running of the Government.”

OK, 1. so on the airport the Premier failed to answer the question.
2. He made the promise on the hospital PPP before he was elected premier
3. On arbitrade – the Premier failed to answer who the local contact is
4. the premier failed to answer follow up questions from Dunkley
5. Nice soft set up questions from the PLP
6. 43 ICO companies registered – but how many jobs? There was no question on that. (another soft set up)

These questions were scripted as hell. The peanut gallery in the background laughing and sucking their teeth didn’t help either.
Ha ha! It’s that type of party! Jeanne and her boy Dunkley are way out of their league! Maybe they should have their highly paid consultant ask the questions?
