Photos: Thank You, Sanctuary & Simplicity Signs
[Written by Don Burgess]
A few signs were put up around Shelly Bay Park thanking people for their support.
One of the signs proclaimed “Shelly Bay Beach, a sanctuary by the sea” as a way to acknowledge that the park had been taken out from the Bermuda Tourism Authority’s Beach Vision.
Another boasted that Shelly Bay is “magnificent in its simplicity.”
Last Thursday, a group of protesters meet with Public Works Minister Lt/Col David Burch and Tourism & Economic Development Minister Jamahl Simmons who said they plan to take recommendations to Cabinet and also “embrace the concept of the access for the physically challenged.”
“magnificent in its simplicity.”
it was till some fool trashed the beach with crude signs!
These signs are just Code for:- “Bermudians ONLY Beach – All Foreigners NOT Welcome here”
When it says the opposite…
And you can bet the same muppets will leave the signs there for someone else to collect when they become litter – just like they leave their tape on the sidewalk after 24th of May parade.
Bunch of jokers! The signs look like Jamaica (crap)!
They look more like you (garbage mixed with crap).
However you feel about the development (or fracas), referencing Jamaica and crap is pretty low and insulting. It’s hand-written, what do you prefer, calligraphy or stencils?
