Three People Injured, Two Marine Vessels Seized
[Updated] Three people were injured in a disturbance that occurred in the area of Paradise Lakes last night [Aug 5] according to police, and two marine vessels have been seized by police
A police spokesperson said, “Shortly after 8pm on Sunday 5th August, Marine Police responded to a report of a disturbance on the water in the area Paradise Lakes.
“Initial information suggests that 3 people were injured during the disturbance, however they made their way back to shore on private marine vessels and conveyed to KEMH via private cars.
“The victims were a 29 year-old man, a 25 year-old man, and a 24 year-old female. At this time their injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Two marine vessels have been seized by police and are currently being processed.
“Anyone who may have been in the area at the time of this incident or anyone who may have information regarding this incident should call the Criminal Investigation Department on 247-1044 or the confidential Crime Stoppers on 800-8477.”
Update 12.50pm: A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service is aware of several videos circulating on social media in relation to an altercation on the water in the area of Paradise Lakes shortly after 8pm on Sunday 5th August.
“As a result of this incident, two men and a woman attended KEMH and were subsequently released following treatment.
“There were numerous individuals on several marine vessels in the area at the time. Police are interested in speaking to those individuals who were in the immediate vicinity of the altercation and also anyone who may have video footage of the incident.
“Anyone with any information should call the Criminal Investigation Department on 247-1044 or the confidential Crime Stoppers line on 800-8477.”
