A man pleaded not guilty to threatening to kill a police officer and two other charges.

William Carlos Astwood, 53, was charged with contravening a Domestic Violence Protection Order on October 12, 2018, by entering a Keith Hall Road residence.

He was also charged with using offensive words towards a police officer at the junction of the Railway Trail and Cobbs Hill Road and also uttering threatening words against the same officer. He denied all three charges.

Mr Astwood is alleged to have said, “Leave me the f*** alone,” and “You don’t know who you’re dealing with. Stop harassing me. I will kill you. I will break your f****** a** in half.

Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe remanded Mr Astwood, with his next court appearance set for October 22.
