Wolves Forfeit Match, YMSC Awarded 3-0 Result

A football match between Wolves FC and YMSC scheduled to take place on September 30, 2018 at Garrison Field in St. George’s failed to take place and has resulted in the Bermuda Football Association [BFA] ruling “a forfeit by Wolves FC and award YMSC with a 3-0 result”.

A BFA spokesperson said, “Please be advised that the Competitions Committee have deliberated over the reports submitted regarding the match between Wolves vs YMSC at Garrison Field on Sunday, September 30, 2018 and the applicable rules noted below. The committee have concluded that the match be deemed a forfeit by Wolves FC and award YMSC with a 3-0 result. The Committee is not inclined to impose a fine.

“Article 2[k]: Home and Away Matches shall be played.

“In the event a membership organization fails to keep its engagement, the Executive Council shall have the power to impose a fine, order the defaulting membership organization to pay any expenses incurred or otherwise deal with them at their discretion. But in all circumstances where a membership organization fails to keep its engagement the points and a score of 3-0 shall be awarded to the non-offending membership organization. In the event a match is unable to be played owing to the fault of no team, the match shall be ruled as tied and a score of 0-0 shall be recorded.”
