Photos: “Redemption Fight Night” Boxing Event
The Redemption Fight Night took place last night [Nov 24] at the Fairmont Southampton, with a full slate of boxing matches taking place in front of the sold out crowd.
Dejon Benjamin won by a unanimous decision over Eduardo Gonzalez, Canadian Sara Buczek won a unanimous decision over Bermuda’s Krista Dyer, while Shane Basden won a split decision over George Cook.
Andre Lambe took on Alex Navarro from Grant’s Gym in Canada, with the Bermudian boxer thrilling the crowd when he picked up a unanimous decision win. Coleman Mills of Rego’s Gym took Shannon Ford from the Bermuda Sanshou Association, with Mills earning the victory.

Michael Parsons took on Jack Cabotaje, with Parsons picking up the win in a unanimous decision, while Jaylon Roberts won a split decision over Robert Somner, and Tyler Christopher won a unanimous decision over Canada’s Steve Wilshire.
The main fight of the night saw Bermuda’s Nikki Bascome take on Mexico’s David Martinez in a professional IBA Welterweight title fight, with Bascome bringing the crowd to their feet as he won the match.
