Photos: ‘Knock Out’ Fight Night Boxing Bouts

An array of boxing skills were showcased at the Knock Out Fight Night event on July 11, with the evening featuring a number of highly-charged bouts, including Bermuda’s Nikki Bascome scoring a big victory over his U.S. opponent.

“Fresh and Hungry” was written on the back of Bascome’s robe as he entered the ring, and the young Bermudian brawler proved the term true with a knockout victory over American Claudele Duprier in the third round, giving the crowd at the nearly sold out venue something to cheer for.

U.S. national female champion Lena Taylor as she scored a second round TKO victory over Shae Alvarez, extending her unbeaten winning streak with multiple hard punches that bought an end to the fight.

The amateur fights proved just as entertaining, with Shomari Warner, Omar Dill, Antonio Stoneham, and Le Jai Tucker recording victories.

Those bouts included a match of three two minute rounds between Jared Jimenez and Sharmony Warner, with Warner winning on points. Similarly timed matches saw Omar Dill defeat Robert Somner on points, and Antonio Stoneham defeat George Cook in the second round.

In the evening’s other amateur bout, Le Jai Tucker defeated Naizair Roberts by split point.
