UK Inquiry Into Territories To Continue On Nov 6

The British Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee inquiry into “how the Foreign Office manages its responsibility to ensure the security and stability” of the British Overseas Territories is set to continue with another oral evidence session on Tuesday, November 6th.

The witnesses scheduled to appear include British Virgin Islands Government representative in the UK Elise Donovan, Montserrat Government representative in the UK Janice Panton, Head, RSPB’s UK Overseas Territories Unit Jonathan Hall, and Executive Director of the  UK Overseas Territories Conservation Forum Dr Mike Pienkowski.

This will be the second oral evidence session held by the Committee, with the first one held last month, which saw former Governor of Bermuda George Fergusson speak to the members.

    This hearing reflects clearly that in the UK, they have not a clue as to what the people in its territories are feeling.
