Court: Five Men Deny Fighting At Docksiders

Five men pleaded not guilty in Magistrates Court to fighting at a Front Street bar last month.
Zackary Fox [20], Paul Smith Jr [21], Ayinde Eve [25], Jahni Holder [24], and Sanchea Douglas [24], all denied being involved in a brawl at the Docksider Pub & Restaurant on January 19. The court heard that all five men are from Pembroke.
The fight at the pub saw Police order it to close it down for 24 hours. from Friday, January 25 at 10 pm to Saturday, January 26 at 10 pm.
The men were released on $1,500 bail with a like surety. In addition, they are to stay away from Docksiders, and not to interfere with any witnesses.
Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe also imposed a 10pm to 6am curfew and the men all have to report to the Hamilton Police Station on Mondays and Fridays between 6am to 6pm.
Their next court appearance is scheduled for March.
On a separate note, Sanchea Douglas also pleaded not guilty to being involved in a fight on Court Street on January 21. Also pleading not guilty was Jah’Riko Smith-Gardiner, 20, of Sandys.
Mr. Smith-Gardiner was given $1,500 bail, Mr. Douglas was granted $2,000 bail with a like surety, and both are barred from being on Court Street north of Victoria Street.
They both have to appear at the Hamilton Police Station on Mondays and Fridays from 6am to 6pm, and were ordered to obey a 10pm to 6am curfew.
Their next court appearance is also scheduled for March.
