Two Men Arrested After Assault in St George’s

Two men in their early 50s were arrested this afternoon [Feb 17] following an incident in St. George’s, in which a 63-year-old man was “assaulted by three other men brandishing bladed articles,” the police have confirmed.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 12:45pm today [February 17th] police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported assault in the Railway Trail, Mullet Bay Road St. George’s area.

“Details are limited at this time. However, initial information suggests that a 63-year-old man was assaulted by three other men brandishing bladed articles. Apparently the 63-year-old man sustained injuries to his mouth.

“A 51-year-old man and a 50-year-old man were subsequently arrested in connection with this incident. At this time the third suspect has not been located.

“Any witnesses or members of the public with relevant information are encouraged to call the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.”
