Two Arrested In Connection With Animal Cruelty
A 19-year-old male and a 16-year-old male were arrested this afternoon [April 9] in connection with the appalling video circulating that shows lambs being abused in Sandys, the police have confirmed.
A police spokesperson said, “A 19-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy have been arrested this afternoon [April 9th] in connection with the appalling video circulating on social media showing acts of cruelty carried out on lambs in Sandys parish. Both remain in police custody at this time.
“The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance so far and continue to appeal for persons with relevant information to come forward, as additional individuals are being sought regarding this matter.
“Inquiries continue and anyone who may have witnessed this incident or knows the identity of the individuals involved is urged to call Constable Melvin Best directly on 717-2385 or via the Somerset Police Station on 234-1010.”

Just maybe now that the alleged culprits have been apprehended, Just maybe the courts can order the same treatment, be met out to the culprits as they did to these innocent animals.
It would not be a pretty site to see these young man kicked around and thrown into cactus bus, but it may be a lesson that needs to be taught, in order to make other have second thoughts before taking on the role of being abusive t o animals.
The pain for these lambs is real, and the courts needs to spare no mercy, these types of cruelty, warrant stiff penalties.

Sadly so much has been said on record and in public by so many people of relevance, if this case ever comes to trial, those comments could be detrimental to the case and to that, the advantage of the accused. The full penalty allowed by the current law is insufficient for this crime . More importantly, taking such pleasure in abusing small animals is a well established warning sign of serious crime in the future . These are not little children .

MAX sentence in 1 year. they should get that PLUS they should be thrown in a thorn bush and pushed off a roof, then get their orange jumpsuits.
They need help. Putting them away is not going to solve the issue. If they do not get help, they might do worse when they are back out again.
