There was an exciting conclusion to the 2019 Johnnie Walker Classic at Ocean View Golf Club this weekend, as Chaka DeSilva was crowned as 2019 champion after defeating Dwayne Pearman in a sudden death playoff on hole #18.

“Having both scored 141 in regulation play, the duo teed up on the par 3 18th hole. Chaka hit his ball over the back of the green but had a fortunate bounce off the coral wall and landed on the back fringe. He was able to chip to within a foot of the pin and make his putt for par. Dwayne Pearman came up short and chipped a few feet past the hole and missed the putt coming back for a bogey,” a spokesperson said.
