Police Investigating Assault Of Student

The police said they are aware of a video clip circulating that shows a male student being assaulted by other young men, adding that they are “progressing the investigation into this matter,” with the police urging the public not to share the video.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Antoine Daniels said, “The Bermuda Police Service [BPS] is aware of a short video clip circulating on social media that shows a teenaged male senior school student being assaulted by other young men.

“It appears that the video was taken Thursday, May 16th at Bulls Head car park in the City of Hamilton.

“The victim’s family has made initial contact with police and the BPS is progressing the investigation into this matter.

“Due to the sensitive nature of the video, members of the public are urged not to share it and anyone with any relevant information is encouraged to call the main police telephone number 295-0011 or the independent and anonymous Crime Stopper hotline 800-8477 at the earliest opportunity.”
