Bermuda Gymnasts At Burlington Spring Classic

The Bermuda Gymnastics team recently competed at the Burlington Spring Classic in Canada, with a number of notable results being recording during the event.

A spokesperson said, “We had a fabulous weekend in Burlington, Canada on the first weekend in May.

“Even with the cooler climate, we had a really warm welcome from Burlington Gymnastics Club and the competing clubs at the competition.

“Notable results included Level 3 Taiya Place coming second on beam, Eva Trott with a second on vault, Makalya Abbot with a second on floor, and Jasmine Maries second on vault.

“Level 4 Rayna Abbott took third place on vault, while Carina Bortoli was second on beam.

“Level 5 Dana Hewitt was second on bars and third overall.

“Level 6 Azalea Pontes was first on beam and bars with a third overall. Sanaa Simmons was second on bars and floor with a third overall. Ella Younie placed second on floor, while Niamh Rowe placed third on vault.

“Level 7 Bailey Boyd was first on bars and second on floor, with a third overall, while also coming second in floor at level 8.

“There were many other great placements. Our full competitive team at the competition included Sienna Dill, Taiya Place, Saskia Luthi, Eva Trott, Makayla Abbott, Mackenzie Kowalski, Abby Adams, Gabriella Smith, Jasmine Maries, Isis Tucker, Rayna Abott, Carina Bortoli, Marseille Williams, Dana Hawitt, Madison Ebbin, Shartari Smith, Azalea Pontes, Sanaa Simmons, Annabelle Miller, Ella Younie, Niamh Rowe, Kennedy Kowalski, Bailey Boyd, Bethany Cooze, Tse Burgess, and Bella Charleston.
