BFRS Introducing Free Home Fire Safety Visits
The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service [BFRS] is introducing a free service which will see BFRS staff available to visit the homes of the general public to offer advice on fire prevention.
The official launch of the program will take place tomorrow [June 8] at the Town Square in St. George’s 11.00am – 1.00pm. Chief Fire Officer Lloyd Burchall will give remarks and Sparky the mascot will be on hand.
Chief Fire Officer Burchall said, “The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service is committed to building “a safer community” for the Bermudian public. History has taught us that successful firefighting starts with prevention. So we have introduced a service that brings our knowledge and experience to your home BEFORE tragedy strikes!
“Everyone wants their home and loved ones kept safe; however, there may be some things that can get overlooked.
“We want our community to know that we care about its well-being, not just when tragedy strikes but before. Take advantage of the Home Fire Safety visits to help build our “Safer Community”!
