BIFF: Aretha Franklin Documentary Screening
The Bermuda International Film Festival [BIFF] is to screen a concert documentary featuring the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, at the height of her musical powers for a second time.
In 1972, Ms Franklin recorded the album Amazing Grace at Reverend James Cleveland’s New Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Watts, Los Angeles.
She was accompanied by the Southern California Community Choir in front of a lively audience/congregation.
The recording was filmed for a documentary, but it has never been released – until now!
