Ball Hockey: Rockets & Rangers Win
A total of 24 goals were scored in the latest round of the Bermuda Inline Ball Hockey season at the PCC Hockey Rink.
Strathroy Rockets 4 London Knights 3
The Strathroy Rockets came from 3 – 0 down after 2 periods to defeat the London Knights 4 – 3. Only one goal was scored in the first period and it came off the stick of Ryan Wilson.
The London Knights doubled the lead in the second period when Craig Rowat found the back of the net, and then James Amaral scored for the London Knights to take a 3 – 0 lead.
In the third period, Brandon Willett scored four goals in a span of five minutes to put the Strathroy Rockets ahead and they held on for the win.
Windsor Spitfires 8 Gloucester Rangers 9
The nightcap produced 17 goals in a see-saw battle that saw the Gloucester Rangers edge the Windsor Spitfires 9 – 8. Three goals were scored in the first and third periods, while the second period saw 11 goals scored.
The Gloucester Rangers got two goals from Tom Miller and Ian Beaudoin, while Robert Osborne, Derek Winch, Pete Brodsky, Bruce Sinclair and Jermy Estey all added a goal each. Josh Bush, Adam Smith and Richard Campbell all scored two goals each for the Windsor Spitfires, who also got single strikes from Matt Katzsch and Chris Grantier.
