Sanshou Fighters To Compete In California
Five Bermuda members of the Bermuda Sanshou Association will compete in the 3rd Pan American Kung Fu Championships in San Jose, California from July 12th – 14th.
Bermuda Team
- Garon Wilkinson – Northern Open Hand Form, Flexible Weapon, 2-man Fighting Set
- Kaelin Cox – Southern Open Hand Form, Long Weapon, 2-man Fighting Set
- Talia Iris – Taiji Open Hand, Taiji Straight Sword
- Kent Bean Jr. – Northern Open Hand Form, Short Weapon
- Kentaro Bean – Northern Open Hand Form, Long Weapon
This is the second time that Bermuda has competed in the championships.
Wilkinson and Cox won Gold for Bermuda at Second Pan American Kung Fu and Taijiquan Championships in Costa Rica 2 years ago in 2-man fighting set defeating Brazil and US.
Cox also claimed Gold in Southern Open Hand Form and a bronze in the Long Weapon division. Wilkinson claimed Gold in Flexible Weapon.
