Conyers & Mitchell Compete In Pan Am Time Trial

Caitlyn Conyers put in a remarkable performance on her way to finishing 7th in the Women’s Cycling Time Trial at the Pan American Games in Peru.

Following a delay of some 45 minutes, the event finally got underway with both Bermuda cyclists Nicole Mitchell and Caitlyn Conyers lining up to get going.

Mitchell who was the first of the pair off the start line clocked a time of 29:43.02 which saw her finish 19th overall, while Conyers was clocked in 26:39.45.

USA Olympic Gold Medalist Chloe Dygert won the gold medal in a time of 23:36.51. Teniel Campbell from Trinidad & Tobago finished with the silver medal with a time of 24:50.24 and the bronze medal went to Laurie Jussaume from Canada who was clocked at 26:27.15.

Conyers was only 12 seconds off the time of the bronze medalist Jussaume.
