Destination Dockyard Goes Gospel On Aug 19
One of Bermuda’s weekly events – Destination Dockyard – is going Gospel.
On Monday [Aug 19] the event host will be Pastor Damon Hendrickson, of Restoration Ministries, and entertainment will include Gospel Reggae Artist Geneman and Mt. Zion AME Dance Ministry.
“Every week has had a different theme,” said Stephanie Rodill, the Marketing and Events Manager at the West End Development Corporation, which has partnered with PinkSand Entertainment and the Bermuda Tourism Authority.
“We all thought it would be a great idea to focus on Gospel Entertainment and I think, with the acts we have scheduled, it will be a great night.”
She added: “We’ve had some bad luck with the weather over the last few weeks so we are really keeping our fingers crossed that the skies will be clear on Monday.”
Other acts taking part on Monday are DJ Brotha Richie, Mime Ministry, SHEMA and singers Larritta Adderly and Olivia Hamilton.
Destination Dockyard is held every Monday from 6.30pm to 9.30pm until August 26 on the North Lawn at Royal Naval Dockyard. As well as entertainment and vendors, the shops in the Clocktower Mall will be open to 9pm.
