DeShield’s Album Featured In Holy Culture Vote
Bermudian artist Paul DeShield’s gospel rap album De Shield of Faith, released under his stage name Eminence, has been included in Holy Culture’s Weight or Wait voting show.
The release is among ten entries listed on the Christian hip-hop platform’s voting page, which allows one vote per user.
Mr DeShield told Bernews, “I am grateful the album is landing with so many people, and I appreciate all the support since release. For me, music is ministry. This project was not made to win competitions, it was made for the kingdom of heaven. I would love for people to vote for De Shield of Faith so it can keep reaching more people.”
As Bernews previously reported, De Shield of Faith is Mr DeShield’s first official album. The nine-track project includes 73 scripture references from 24 books of the Bible, according to the artist.
The album explores themes including faith, grief, identity, purpose and transformation; and Mr DeShield has also paired each song with a Bible study guide connecting its lyrics to the scriptures behind them.
