Video: Bermuda At Parapan Opening Ceremony

The Parapan American Games Opening Ceremony took place in Peru, with Bermuda’s team joining athletes from over 30 countries from around the region.

Boccia athlete Steve Wilson served as Bermuda’s flag bearer during the Opening Ceremony for the Games, which will see over 1,800 athletes from 33 countries in action across 17 sports in the Peruvian capital, with the Games set to run until September 1st.

“The Lima 2019 Organising Committee has worked hard to create accessible venues and all the facilities to makes us feel at home in this great city. During nine days, Lima, Peru and the whole continent will be amazed by what Para athletes can do,” said Julio Cesar Avila, President of the Americas Paralympic Committee.
