Summer Sunday: Dunking, Zip Line, Slide, More

The City of Hamilton reminds the community that Summer Sunday: City Fair Edition will take place in Victoria Park this coming Sunday, August 18th.

From 2pm – 7pm, the public can enjoy live entertainment, activities, carnival games, dance troupes, vendors, fun castles, prizes and plenty of food and drink. Entry to the event, as well as the majority of games and activities, are free of charge.

Event coordinator, Tamara Bradshaw said of the event, “The event on Sunday is packed full of entertainment to not only watch but to participate in. We have a wide array of carnival games like Ring Toss, Plinko and Tic-Tac-Toe as well as Laser Tag, a Zip-line and a giant slide. It’s all free and we’re really looking forward to welcoming the community to this family-fun event.”

Added activities include Skeeball, Corn Hole, inflatable archery, Wipeout, fun Castles, Knock Down, Football Darts and virtual reality digital gaming.

A Dunk Tank will also be on hand with local personalities such as MP Chris Famous, DJ Rusty G, Thundee, Bermemes’ Qian Dickinson, HOTT 107’s Terri2Kool, Mikaela Pearman and the City’s own Dwayne Caines looking to cool off. The Dunk Tank and a Photo Booth by TB Photography will accept a nominal donation, with proceeds going to Big Brothers Big Sisters Bermuda.

Food, beverage and merchandise vendors include Bermuda Cupcake Company, Ashley’s Lemonade, Sensational Delights, Sweet & Salty Snack Shack, Duch Pops Bermuda, J&B Woodfired Pizza, Lickety Split [Sprinkles], Treats 4 Tykes, Budget Enterprise, Sniggles Face Painting, Sunkissed Hair & Henna, Endless Creations Bermuda and Heritage Agency Bermuda Ltd [Information Booth]. Barritt’s is also graciously on deck to sponsor beverages to keep the event entertainment hydrated.

Live entertainment on the day will see DJ Mystro, The Big Chill Duo, the PHC Majorettes and Drum Corp, the Bermuda School of Music, Rated E Dance Crew, In Motion School of Dance, Jay III and Chinyere Nwasike all taking to the stage. The afternoon will be hosted and emceed by Hamilton Town Crier Ed Christopher and ‘Power Girl’ Trina.

The City of Hamilton said they are “pleased to host an event that is sure to be the ideal way for families to spend one of the last Sundays of the Summer.”

In the event of inclement weather, the rain date will be August 25th.
