Car & Motorcyclist Collision In Southampton

There was a two vehicle collision at the junction of Middle Road and Granaway Heights Road in Southampton this morning [Sept 12], with the rider sustaining an injury to his finger.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 7:20am Thursday, September 12th police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision at the junction of Middle Road and Granaway Heights Road in Southampton.

“It appears that a motorcyclist was traveling west along Middle Road and a car was attempting to exit Granaway Heights Road when the collision occurred.

“The rider, said to be a 36-year-old Warwick man, sustained an injury to his finger. The car driver, said to be a 68-year-old Southampton woman, was not hurt.

“Morning commuters also experienced traffic delays in the surrounding area while inquiries were conducted at the scene.
