  1. Vortex says:

All looks a little flat after saturday….

    • Maddog says:

Gay parade first of its kind and the last.
      Labor Day parade 35 years.

      • Mike Hind says:

        “…and last”?
You know nothing! There are already plans being talked about for next year.

  2. Smh says:

To all those who were wishing for thunderstorms on Saturday, it was sunny and beautiful for the Pride parade and raining for the Labour Day parade. Karma

    • J Starling says:

Let’s not be ridiculous. It rained equally (of equal duration and intensity) at both – short, and medium heavy, albeit the one on Saturday was after the march had re-entered the park).

The unions were not against the Pride Parade, so no need to be against the Labour Day Parade. In fact, if you listen to the speeches, the union leadership were supportive of the Pride Parade and the need to end discrimination of any form.

      • wa says:

” In fact, if you listen to the speeches, ”

I’m guessing you didn’t receive any local news under that rock, where you must have been living for the past month.

        • J Starling says:

I’ve not seen a single statement from any union opposing the Pride Parade. Perhaps I missed it, please direct me to it and spare the attacks which are unnecessary.

          • wa says:

“spare the attacks ” You think that’s an attack?

            Snowflake.

      • question says:

And the revision of history begins

    • Nubian says:

      Showers of blessing! Not karma

      • wa says:

        “Showers of blessing! Not karma”

Good! That little shower during the pride parade was a blessing!

  3. Me says:

Same ole same ole ,political reverend, angry shouting Jason , nervous premier fighting for his job ,PLP rally, obvious seething at the historic pride march really divide and conquer crew and they talk of independence lawd help us.

    • LOL says:

Tell us did the Oba change the name again or is the lawd not helping you. LOL

      • Ringmaster says:

You seem to forget the PLP has more ex UBP Leaders and MPs than the OBA.

  4. Question says:

Oh dear. Rain. That tells you what God thinks, right?

    • Deborah says:

You lot are soo trivial. How come you all didnt come out with your rainbow and flowers to support this real Bermudian significant event! Please….

      • Benno says:

        Because it’s boring.

      • Rasta says:

Same reason the UBP boys aka OBA government didn’t pass the law when in charge.

      • J Starling says:

I was at both parades and noticed people also from both parades.

Obviously not everyone, but it’s a mistake to say that there was no mutual support. I saw a few people at the labour day parade also sporting rainbows.

        • steve says:

I do or don’t support both so i go to the march of my choosing or none at all. That’s the way its supposed to work innit?

          • J Starling says:

Morning Steve, not really sure of the relevance of your comment. Of course you can go to both, one or neither. My comment however was directed solely to Deborah above who insinuated that participants in the Pride Parade were absent at the Labour Day Parade; thus my pointing out the inaccuracy of that comment.

Of course, Deborah is completely correct that the majority of the people who attended the Pride Parade were conspicuously absent from the Labour Day Parade. That’s simply a fact and something to be considered. But there were people who attended both.

  5. Richard says:

It’s nice to see our heroes recognized for their sacrifice while they are still with us

    • wa says:

It’s nice to see Bermuda celebrate the Canadian Labor day holiday….although I find it strange that so many ‘real’ bermudians hate Canadians so much….and then celebrate with them.

  6. Richard says:

    Stop that

  7. Quinton B says:

So nice to see two important parades happen this weekend! Both about freedom and exercising rights!

  8. Not serious says:

Bet no Prison Officers marched today.
