Bermuda Championship PGA Fan Information

If you are planning to attend the Bermuda Championship PGA Tour event, the information below is designed to “help spectators prepare for this year’s inaugural event.”

Bermuda Championship’s statement:

The Bermuda Championship, Bermuda’s first official PGA Tour event, gets set to tee off October 31 to November 3 at Port Royal Golf Course. The following information will help spectators prepare for this year’s inaugural event:

Event Details

  • Player field: 120 participants
  • Format: Four-day, 72-hole stroke play competition; cut to low 65 and ties after 36 holes
  • Purse: $3 million
  • FedEx Cup Points: 300 points to the winner

Tickets

Daily grounds tickets are available for $20 online [www.bermudachampionship.com and www.ptix.com] or at the gate. Enjoy all 4 days of the tournament with a weekly pass for $50.

Senior tickets [55 and over] are available for $15 at the gate only.

Juniors 17 and under are admitted free to the grounds each day with a ticketed adult, courtesy of Butterfield & Vallis.

Ladies Day

Thursday, October 31 is Ladies Day at the Bermuda Championship. Tickets for women are available for $15 at the gate and all proceeds from the sale of these tickets will be donated to the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Important Spectator Information

  • Camera Policy/Mobile Phone Policy
  • No point and shoot, film or DSLR cameras permitted onsite.

Spectators are allowed to take photos with their mobile devices throughout the golf course, except in areas of competition during official rounds or when requested by players, security, and Tour officials to refrain from taking a photo.

  • Devices must be on silent at all times; flash may not be used.
  • Content may be used for personal purposes [e.g., personal social media]; no commercial use.
  • No live streaming or real-time coverage [e.g., no shot-by-shot coverage].
  • Receiving or placing phone calls will remain limited to areas away from play.

The Main Entrance will be located at Death Valley Field off of Middle Road. Spectators will enter the golf course along the fairway of Hole #2.

Public Parking

Public parking is free for spectators.

  • Public Car/Electric Car Parking: White Hill Field [off Middle Road]. Complimentary shuttles will run continuously to and from Port Royal Golf Course all four days beginning 15 minutes before gates open.
  • Public Bike Parking: Death Valley Field [located adjacent to the main entrance] OR White Hill Field

Tee Times & Gate Times

Thursday and Friday tee times will be announced the week of October 28. Visit the tournament website, www.bermudachampionship.com, for tee times and pairings. Anticipated first tee time for Thursday and Friday is 7:40 a.m.

Gates will open 30 minutes before tee times.

Security Guidelines

Bag Policy

Certain items are restricted at PGA Tour events. Bags will be searched upon entering the event.

Bags and purses must be smaller than 6” x 6”. Clear bags measuring 12” x 6” x 12” or less will be permitted.

Please note, the tournament does not provide a “bag check” facility so plan accordingly.

Prohibited items

Before you go, know what can and cannot be brought through the gates.

  • No bags larger than a small purse 6” x 6” including carrying cases, backpacks, camera bags or chair bags
  • No clear plastic, vinyl, or other carry items larger than 12” x 6” x 12”
  • No Plastic, Metal, or Glass Cups, Cans or Containers of any kind except for medical or infant needs
  • No computers or laptops
  • No fireworks or laser pointers
  • No lawn or oversize chairs, seat cushions, or bicycles
  • No pets, except for service animals
  • No knives, firearms or weapons of any nature
  • No video cameras
  • No cameras
  • No beverages [patrons may not bring in or exit with beverages] or coolers
  • No radios or TVs
  • No posters, signs or banners
  • No outside food or beverage
  • No other items deemed unlawful or dangerous by the PGA Tour/Tournament Security Officials
