A collision has occurred on North Shore Road in Devonshire, with a rider involved sustaining head and facial injuries and traffic delays expected in the area.
A police spokesperson said, “A collision has occurred on North Shore Road in Devonshire in the vicinity of the former Clayhouse Inn.
“Details are limited at this time. However, early information indicates that the rider involved may have sustained serious injuries.
“Traffic delays are expected in the area and motorists are advised to take alternate routes if possible. An update will be provided when more information is available.”
“The injured rider is said to have sustained head and facial injuries but was conscious, alert and being transported to hospital via ambulance for treatment.
“One lane is open to traffic while the scene is being processed but motorists should still expect delays in the area.
“Any witnesses are encouraged to call 295-0011 as soon as possible.”
