Tennis: Day Four ITF Bermuda Junior Open
The ITF Bermuda Junior Open Tennis Tournament continued at the WER Joell Tennis Stadium.
In the Boy’s Semi-Finals Number three seed Jakub Ostajewski defeated Samuel Reichbach in straight sets 6-3, 6-2, while in the other Semi-Final number two seed Ellis Short defeated Pranav Ikkurthy in straight sets 6-1, 6-2.
In the Women’s Final Catherine Slowek defeated Olivia Lincer in straight sets 6-0, 6-1. Slowek would do the double as she teamed up with Orly Ogilvy and they defeated Amulika Gottiparthy and Mia Slama in the Doubles Final in a three set battle 5-7, 6-4, 10-6.
Three Bermuda players will feature in the Boys Doubles Final this after Trey Mallory treamed up with Short and they defeated Jacob Lowen and Samuel Reichbach in a three set battle 7-5, 3-6, 10-4 and then Bermuda pair Scott Redmond and Tariq Simons defeated the number one seed Mark Dancuart and Ostajewski in another three set battle 4-6, 6-4, 14-12.
