Dellwood Middle School recently won the Bermuda School Sports Federations Middle School Girls Six-A-Side Football Tournament at Shelly Bay Field after coming from behind to defeat Saltus Grammar School 2-1.

Abby Autmezguine gave Saltus the lead in the first half after beating the goalkeeper to a loose ball. Dellwood came out a more determined team in the second half and equalized moments after the restart with a long range effort from Katherine Bean Rosario which the goalkeeper couldn’t keep out of the net. Bean Rosario was on hand again a few minutes later to lead her team to a 2-1 victory over Whitney Institute.

Bean Rosario also scored twice in the Semi-Final to earn her team a 2-1 win over the Whitney Institute. Juliana Vieria scored the consolation goal for the Whitney Institute. Saltus reached the final after a Ramiah Brangman penalty was the difference in their 1-0 semi-final encounter with BHS.
