Tanker Diverts Due To Injured Crew Member

A tanker vessel diverted to Bermuda on Friday morning [Nov 22] to disembark a crew member who had suffered a suspected broken leg.

A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “Meyer Ship Agencies contacted Bermuda Radio to report the Tanker Free Spirit had diverted to Bermuda to disembark a crewmember with a suspected broken leg.

“At 6:30am the following morning, the patient was transferred to the Pilot/Rescue boat St. David and taken to Ordnance Island and subsequently transported by Ambulance to KEMH.”
