Charity Christmas Tree Event Winners
The winners of this year’s Charity Christmas Tree Event have been announced, with BUEI receiving a $4,000 donation as the first place winner, Keep Bermuda Beautiful [KBB] receiving a $2,000 donation, and the Bermuda Zoological Society’s Junior Youth Program receiving a $1,750 donation.
Additionally, CATS won the People’s Choice Award, earning them a donation of $2,500, with the event’s other participants each receiving a $750 donation.
A spokesperson said, “We are happy to announce this year’s winners of the Charity Christmas Tree Event.
“The first place winner was BUEI and they won a $4,000 donation. The second place winner was KBB’s ‘Oscar the Grouch’ and they won a $2,000 donation. The third place winner was Bermuda Zoological Society – Junior Youth Program, and they won a $1,750 donation.
“The People’s Choice Award was awarded to the tree that got the most votes, which was the CATS tree, and they received a donation of $2,500.
“All other participants, including the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences, SPCA, National Museum of Bermuda, Windreach, and the Bermuda Zoological Society, received a donation of $750.”
