Football: Premier & First Division Results

Footballers in the Premier and First Division were in action this past weekend, with the St. George’s Colts, St. David’s, Young Men Social Club, and North Village Rams all earning wins, while two other matches ended in draws.

First Division: Vasco 0 – St. George’s Colts 5

At Bernard Park, the visiting St. George’s Colts defeated Vasco 5 – 0 to end the first half of the season taking 22 of 24 points. The St. George’s Colts got two goals from Diego McCallan and Damon Darrell, while Macai Simmons added the other.

First Division: Hamilton Parish 0 – St. David’s 1

At the Wellington Oval, sixth place St. David’s defeated seventh place Hamilton Parish 1 – 0. The lone goal of this game came in the second minute from Sergio Wilkinson.

First Division: Young Men Social Club 6 – Ireland Rangers 3

This First Division match at BFA Field between the eighth place Young Men Social Club and ninth place Ireland Rangers saw the home team come away with a 6 – 3 victory.

Young Men Social Club got a hat trick from Ramon Smith, while Ryan Parris scored twice and an own goal accounted for the other marker. Jonte Pearson scored twice for Ireland Rangers and Dahlano Simons added the other.

Premier Division: North Village Rams 3 – PHC Zebras 1

At Bernard Park, the North Village Rams defeated the visiting PHC Zebras 3 – 1. The North Village Rams got two goals from Rai Simons and a single strike from Jaizel Smith-Deshields, while the lone PHC Zebras strike came from Cecoy Robinson.

Premier Division: X-Roads 1 – Devonshire Cougars 1

At Garrison Field, X-Roads and the Devonshire Cougars played to a 1 – 1 draw. X-Roads took the lead in the 15th minute when Donavan Thompson scored, but the Devonshire Cougars equalized in the 88th minute through a strike from Shakii Pearman.

Premier Division: Robin Hood 1 – Somerset Eagles 1

At BAA Field, Robin Hood and the Somerset Eagles played to a 1 – 1 draw. Justin Corday gave Robin Hood the lead in the 19th minute, but Nathan Rego equalized for the Somerset Eagles with a strike in the 70th minute.
