The tug En Avant 10 and Resolve Marine’s RMG-1000 barge were docked at Penno’s Wharf in St. George’s today [Dec 14], with the marine vessels understood to have stopped by the island to top up on provisions.
Muller Dordrecht’s 31 metre tug is fully equipped for offshore rig-moves, seagoing towage, harbour assistance, salvage operations, and has fire fighting capabilities. Muller Dordrecht is a maritime service provider in Europe.
In 2012 RESOLVE Engineering Group, LLC announced the launch of this 300-foot long barge.
The report said, “The RMG-1000 barge is an ABS class deck barge built for parent company RESOLVE Marine Group, Inc. to support a +1000-ton heavy lift crane. RESOLVE’s Project Engineer Sam Charters said, “This is a versatile 300′ x 100′ sea-going barge designed specifically for marine salvage, wreck removal and heavy lift operations in the Gulf of Mexico and U.S. waters.
“With a deck strength of 3500 psf, it is ideal for the larger, heavy lift jobs; it is available for charter for assignments in the Gulf initially while the heavy lift crane is in construction. RESOLVE’s nine-acre Theodore [Mobile], AL port facility is home port for the RMG-1000.”
